Leaked GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Comic-Con footage! Watch it while you can!

Yesterday Darryn posted a slew of behind the scenes pics for Marvel’s upcoming sci-fi epic, Guardians of the Galaxy, including an animated gif of Rocket Raccoon. But maybe you like your moving pictures to have more than just 5 frames. Maybe you like to have actual video footage. Say, like the footage shown to the crowd at Comic-Con a few weeks ago? You know, the footage that nobody in Hall H was allowed to record.

Well, it was recorded (It’s 2013, who were they kidding?) and has been uploaded for your viewing pleasure. Just look at it really fast, because it’s only a matter of time before Marvel comes a-knocking with a takedown notice.

Damn, that looks good. You know, once you tilt your head at a slight angle and look past the fact that everybody is suddenly in shadow and speaks as if they’re standing inside a giant tin can. But other than that though, frakking wow!

The environments and characters look superb on-screen- Chris Pratt is seriously buff, Dave Bautista looks great as Drax and Zoe Saldana’s Gamora somehow seems a lot more physically imposing than her normally waify frame would imply – and I love the tone that they have going here with that “Ooga chaka” earworm. And then there’s that look of pure manic glee on Rocket Raccoon’s face! I didn’t think it was even possible for me to be more excited for this film, but I seriously need to see this trailer in it’s entirety in the highest resolution possible. Now.

This film is going to be the possible game-changer for Marvel, because if audiences flock to something as out-there as this, it opens the door to even more kooky original story ideas instead of just sticking to the ol’ capes and tights crowd the whole time. And I can’t bloody wait!

Guardians of the Galaxy is scheduled for release on August 1, 2014.
