The Autopsy of Jane Doe is an upcoming horror movie that stars Brian Cox and Emile Hirsch as morticians performing an autopsy on a corpse discovered under mysterious circumstances. And everything went according to routine, nothing strange happened, and everyone lived happily ever after – no, of course not!
The official plot synopsis and trailer are courtesy of Entertainment Weekly:
Brian Cox and Emile Hirsch play father-and-son morticians tasked with conducting an autopsy on the body of a naked “Jane Doe” found, partially buried, at the scene of a massacre. The problem? “Jane” does not seem to be resting in peace. In fact, she may not be resting at all.
I can tell you right now I won’t watch this movie – my poor heart wouldn’t be able to take it. But for horror fans this looks a real treat as Cox and Hirsch are forced to deal with the mysterious forces surrounding Jane Doe in the tightly-contained mortuary.
