Let this new red-band trailer for THE DO-OVER soak up your pain

This is the second time that I’m writing an article on The Do-Over and I have almost nothing to say. No, not because the movie doesn’t interest me, but shockingly because of the exact opposite scenario. I’m still so incredulous about the fact that there’s an Adam Sandler movie coming out that actually looks funny (when last was that written in close proximity to Sandler’s name without the aid of strong pharmaceuticals?), that my brain is completely at a loss for how to process this. None of the cinematic anguish Sandler has put me through over the last few years has prepared me for this moment.

So I’m just going to tell you to check out the new (and final) red-band trailer for the upcoming Netflix comedy feature film below. It’s admittedly nowhere near as good or appealing as the first trailer – this preview is missing that charming offbeat flavour – but still looks much better than a lot of the buffoonery Sandler has been responsible for lately.

Max and Charlie are old friends tired of their mundane lives who reunite at their 25th high school reunion for the ultimate mulligan: they decide to wipe the slate clean for a do-over. After faking their deaths and assuming new identities, could their lives be better the second time around?

The Do-Over was directed by Steven Brill (Little Nicky, Mr. Deeds), and also stars Paula Patton, Kathryn Hahn, Luis Guzman, Michael Chiklis, Sean Astin, Catherine Bell, Natasha Leggero, Nick Swardson), Torsten Voges, Renee Taylor and Matt Walsh. It will debut on Netflix this coming Friday, May 27.
