I don’t know about you folks, but back when I was a kid, I freakin’ loved dinosaurs. Jurassic Park started an interest in me telling people that the real name for a Bronotsaurus was actually Apatosaurus, while shows like Cadillacs and Dinosaurs convinced me that the future was going to be awesome in an apocalyptic manner.

And with new research disproving everything that I learnt in those fortnight Dinosaur magazines that came with a glow in the dark T-Rex skeleton, I’m more interested than ever before in the subject. Which is why despite having zero Morgan Freeman, I’m interested in the upcoming sorta-documentary, Walking with dinosaurs.

For the first time in movie history, audiences will truly see and feel what it was like when dinosaurs ruled the Earth. Walking With Dinosaurs: The Movie is the ultimate immersive, big-screen, 3D experience. Recent discoveries and a breakthrough in technology will introduce new and unique dinosaurs that are more real than ever before and put moviegoers in the middle of a thrilling prehistoric adventure, where an underdog dinosaur triumphs against all odds to become a hero for the ages.

It looks pretty impressive, I’ll give the film that. I just don’t like the fact that it’s spinning fact into fiction with the herbivore herds, but if it gets audiences into cinemas, then all the better in the long run. Walking with Dinosaurs is scheduled for a yuletide season release, because nothing says Christmas like watching prehistoric lizard murder machines knocking the Cretaceous era out of one another in a battle for the ages. Neil Nightingale and Pierre De Lespinios direct.
