No, that’s not some silly headline gaffe, we are once again in the ludicrous realm of teaser trailers for trailers, because that’s apparently just how the world works now. This time around, thanks to MTV, it’s the turn of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, director Francis Lawrence’s highly anticipated sequel to the box office destroying 2012 hit that turned star Jennifer Lawrence into a household name and totally didn’t copy Battle Royale, promise.

THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a “Victor’s Tour” of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) – a competition that could change Panem forever.

The full trailer, as that very serious man in the above clip informed us, will be aired during the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday, April 14th, and will have star Liam Hemsworth (who plays one point of the Gale-Katniss-Peeta love triangle) introducing two and a half minutes of footage from the film. Till then though, you’ll have to be content with this brief snippet, which shows a glimpse of the Victory Tour that the 74th Hunger Games co-winners Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) have to go on as a bit of propaganda for the Capital, but unintentionally ends up lighting the spark that sets off the entire story. Here’s a spoiler: Katniss shoots people with a bow and arrow, Peeta frowns a lot.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire also stars Sam Claflin, Elizabeth Banks, Woody Harrelson, Donald Sutherland, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Jena Malone, Jeffrey Wright, and Amanda Plummer, and will be arrowing into cinemas on November 22, 2013.
