It’s rather unfortunate, but it’s a simple fact we just don’t get to see all the movies down here in currently not so sunny South Africa. There are several high-profile releases that simply never make it to our theatrical shores. Case in point, The Raid 2: Berandal, an eagerly awaited and greatly recommended sequel which I reviewed earlier this week, but which you can currently only get locally on iTunes (if you have an US account).
So too this Friday sees the release of another highly anticipated genre film that is not scheduled for local theatrical release in Snowpiercer, but which will be popping up on all the major Video On Demand outlets.
So today, what we want to know from you, is whether or not you make use of VOD services like iTunes, Hulu, Netflix and the like (made very, very easy to access nowadays with services like Unotelly) to watch movies/TV series that never officially make their way to our shores, do you just wait until it eventually hits Blu Ray for you to order, or do just ignore those movies since they started snubbed us first?

Netflix. Between my wife and I, about 3 hours a day on it.

Can’t say as the legality of it is still a bit iffy. Let us just say that if such a service were legal in SA I would have to move my theoretical US account to SA. 😛

Theoretically of course…

Just like I theoretically have never seen an E-Toll bill. 😛
