Another Monday means another round up who performed the best at the box office, as the current war between the top ten has drawn to a close for this weekend.

There was only one real winner though, as previously reported, but here’s a look at who made what and stayed in the top positions.

The Hunger Games set a new record at the US box office, breaking in at number one and earning a box office gain of over $155 million, firmly unseating last weeks king, 21 Jump Street, which dropped to second place for a weekend total of $21.3 million.

The Lorax is still hanging around in third place, securing a further $13.1 million in profits, while John Carter is now in fourth place, adding another $5 million to its disappointing box office totals.

Act of Valor was still pushing forth well, securing another $2 million to its current run, while Project X went down to sixth place, earning $1.95 over the weekend. Eddie Murphy made a tightlipped $1.92 million for A Thousand words in seventh place, while drama debut October Baby made an eight place push for $1.7 million in its opening.

Safe House stayed in ninth place with a $1.4 million tally, while Journey 2 hung precariously on at the bottom, adding $1.3 million to its total US box office haul of $97.1 million.
