I'm-glad-I-called-that-guy

I’ve been thinking of getting a new pet lately, a new kitten to give my life some joy and sunshine. Now adopting a pet is easy enough. Naming it is another matter entirely. You need to choose a name which suits the personality of your furry pal. A name that you’ll be happy to use for years afterwards as you develop a bond with the bundle of hair and claws. And I think I have the perfect name for my future pal, based on one of the finest moments of my life.

I think I’ll name my next cat…Revengeance.

In Other News: Xbox begins to play anywhere today with ReCore, Rive is going to schmup you in the face and it’s the end of an era for lightgun games.

Here’s the news that we didn’t post today, because we were too busy creating a safe and nurturing working environment here in the office.

  1. Revengeance. Good name for a cat. They can revenge oriented little blighters, remember a slight. Like when you go on holiday for three weeks, all happy to see you, then two days later pee in your shoes, let you know they are pissed off.

What sort of cat is best for that name, Revengeance, though? I think…. Siamese “Personality: Vocal, affectionate, active; can be insistent”

Or a Somali – But the Somali has the same energy levels as a Border Collie…. Be warned. And they love people. A lot. And they are active. I used to throw a tennis ball for the Somali. Also, same Somali cat, had a tenniss ball on an elastic, dog toy. Would through, hard, say 6 metres, then, as it bounces back, the Somali would catch it. So Athletic, so busy. do not piss one off…..

Well, then. Abyssinian. Somali is a long haired Abyssinian. Is that better?

I’m just going to hit up the SPCA to find the biggest, toughest bastard black cat that I can and give it a second chance.

A word of caution: Is there some way you can check the cat out for feline aids before you take it home? I have been burned, badly, by taking in a street kitten, turns out mommy had feline aids (gets from cat fights, nothing to do with human aids), kitten had it and kitten passed on at about 9 months. That was sad.

Perhaps just my experience. That incident is what started me buying pedigree cats. Vet advised it.

There is a single quick blood test for both feline leukemia and immunodeficiency virus.

SPCA just shockingly bad at administering tests and keeping tested, vaccinated and untested new arrivals apart.

Another reason I recommend rather going with another private rescue organizations,

I bought 2 kittens from SPCA, both grew ill and both died of cat AIDS, one of the most heart-wrenching things to go through. Now I absolutely refuse to get cats from SPCA for that reason.

We opted instead to pick up strays or unwanted kitties that have not been exposed to SPCA. These guys survived and are now part of the family

get as young as possible (obviously over like at least 8 weeks old), to make the change and acclimatising easier for both of you. If you take in a street cat of six months old, there are habits there that may create friction.

I like that. Awesome, keep going. Two is plenty for me right now too.

by the way, re-watched Guardians of the Galaxy last night, with your article on the Infinity stones in mind. Made a difference to the watching, so, again, thanks for the nice explanation on the roles the Infinity stones play.

Also, Ronan the Accuser, almost 0 background in the movie, no real explanation why he can handle the Infinity Stone or anything like that. He also seems a bit, well, wussy, in the re-watch.

Not sure. We need someone who is familiar with Alien Emps face Trench schedule and needs to comment. Perhaps even the Emperor Itself can comment.

Until then, we are just guessing.
