I’m just glad I am moving into deep suburbs now. As an ex plaas seun I was not getting used to the hustle and bustle of city life…and “locals” with their lawnmower racing cars

I have lived in the suburbs all my life. Lived in a town house complex years ago and even that, relatively quiet, meant that I heard cars close by at odd times sometimes. Not my favourite sound. OR, very occasionally, the sound of a big argument or something. Give me a free standing house, thanks. WITH garden service, cause I do not want to do gardening stuff.

Nope. Neat and trim. I have a lot of work ahead of me this weekend. House is fine though, we have a lady come once a week for the bigger stuff, while we do dishes during the week.

We have not got one in the living room, the quote was just stupid – open plan Living Room / dining Room made this stupidly expensive. BUT we spend most of our time in the TV room, not the living room, so that has an AirCon as well. Christmas day, we put (read, squeezed) in 3 dining room tables in the TV room, JUST for the AirCon.
