Every year, dozens of idealistic people from universities all across the world waste your time and patience by having jam festivals, concerts that are designed to brig attention to world issues and do buggerall but get your clothing smelling like hemp. Even worse, some varsity kids will then go to war-torn countries in order to make an ineffectual difference, having about as much of an effect as Justin Bieber giving a ghetto kid a pencil. The Green Inferno, is a film that seeks to warn the youth of today of the dangers of trying to help people.
Or at least it is, in my twisted mind that craves the kind of meat that can only be found on an endangered species list. Here’s the latest trailer:
THE GREEN INFERNO, directed, co-written, and produced by Roth (HOSTEL, CABIN FEVER), follows a group of student activists who travel from New York City to the Amazon to save the rainforest. However, once they arrive in this vast green landscape, they soon discover that they are not alone…and that no good deed goes unpunished. Starring Lorenza Izzo, Ariel Levy, Daryl Sabara, and an indigenous South American tribe never filmed before, THE GREEN INFERNO will be in theaters everywhere September 5th.
Spread the message folks. If we don’t stop these do-gooders now, we may lose the planet to idealism. And papa needs more wombat burgers.
