OnLive got released and is actually doing well

OnLive

I honestly never thought that OnLive would make it into a full production release and to hear that not only did it make it into the mass market but that it’s also doing pretty well is quite surprising.

According to OnLive CEO, Steve Perlman, the number of subscribers they currently have is

“far beyond what we projected”

Unfortunately we have no idea what they projected or how many subscribers they have but I am glad their idea is working and that people in America at least now have one other option to get their game on.

There is some small print to this though, AT&T were offering free subscriptions to OnLive if you signed up before the 15th of July and after that year is up people are either going to be charged $14.95 or $4.95 depending on how many subscribers they get.

But either way it seems they are here to stay… for the medium term at least.
