Edgar Wright may be teaming up with his usual crew of actors, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, for the final chapter in their Cornetto trilogy that began with Shaun of the Dead and continued in Hot Fuzz, but the duo won’t be alone in their epic drinking quest.

They’ve got another familiar on board for their booze cruise of note, in the form of Paddy “Tyrannosaur” Considine, who’ll be drowning his sorrows with the lads across their Herculean pub-jaunt.

He may have been winning awards for his directorial work lately, but in The World’s End, Considine will play the part of a former womanising musician, who eventually grew and became an architect with some divorce papers.

Considine, Pegg and Frost won’t be the only participants in this night to remember however, as they’ll also be joined by Rosamund Pike, who’ll be downing a pint or two with the boys when filming kicks off next month.

20 years after attempting an epic pub crawl, five childhood friends reunite when one of them becomes hellbent on trying the drinking marathon again. They are convinced to stage an encore by mate Gary King, a 40-year old man trapped at the cigarette end of his teens, who drags his reluctant pals to their hometown and once again attempts to reach the fabled pub – The World’s End.

As they attempt to reconcile the past and present, they realize the real struggle is for the future, not just theirs but humankind’s. Reaching The World’s End is the least of their worries.
