Pauly Shore wants to be in the army. Again

Hey, remember Pauly Shore? You don’t? Come on, he’s even faked his death before, to get your attention! When it comes to actors, the man is a definite guilty pleasure of mine, what with his strange dialect, mannerisms and questionable sanity.

One of the films that briefly propelled him into the public conscience, many, many, many, many, many years ago, was In the army now. Your typical military flick about a rag-tag group of slackers enlisting, In the army now was like that Bill Murray classic, S.T.R.I.P.E.S, only with less charm and more Generation X.

And now, Shore is keen to do a sequel.

Appearing recently on the Andy Dick web show, Shore spoke about an idea that he had for a sequel, which would once again star him and his neurotic chum.

“I’ve always said we should do In the Army Again,” Dick said to Shore, to which Shore responded;

We just need a script and someone to back the project and I’m in.

Ha, as if that will ever happen! Oh wait, it totally will, as FilmOn.TV CEO Alki “I’ve got enough money to waste on this” David told the actors, in a press release that the AV Club picked up, “I’ll back it if both of you star in it”.

I swear, if some rich oil sheik offers Carrot Top a million bucks to make a second Chairman of The Board film, I’ll defenestrate myself.
