For all the Rayman fans, Ubisoft has reached into the classics bag and fished out Rayman 2: The Great Escape, ported it for the 3DS and given it a new name, Rayman 3D. While this is a straight port of the Dreamcast version, it is still an excellent platforming experience. Hit the jump for more Rayman 3D.
“Evil mechanical pirates led by the evil Razorbeard have enslaved the inhabitants of Rayman’s world in this Nintendo 3DS release based on the classic Rayman 2: The Great Escape. This Nintendo 3DS version features major updates on key game play elements such as accessibility, progression and learning curve.
In Rayman 3D, you must help Rayman collect four magical masks needed to wake a god who will make those pirates walk the plank for their crimes. As you journey through your adventure, you must pick up fragments of energy called “lums,†and you’ll also have the opportunity to free cute characters that have been captured and stuffed into cages by Razorbeard’s pirates.â€
