Hairy comedian Robin Williams hasn’t been on screen much lately, but it looks like the manic one is making another comeback. While the diminutive funny man is more well known for his roles, tickling elbows and eliciting a guffaw here and there.
But the man has some serious acting chops underneath all that wookie fur, something which will probably be utilised when he finds out that he only has 90 minutes left to live, in The Angriest Man.
Based on the 1998 Israeli film, Mar Baum, The Angriest Man finds Williams as a migraine sufferer who is mistakenaly informed that he has a brain tumour, resulting in the afore-mentioned 90 minutes of life that he has left.
This little reelation has Williams stuck in stage two of the acceptance cycle, as he goes on a rampage, while the misinformed doctor tries to stop him, to give him some good news.
So far, Peter Dinklage, Mila Kunis, Melissa Leo and James Earl Jones have signed on to star with Williams in the Phil Robinson directed picture. It’s a reunion of sorts for Williams and Robinson, as the two had previously worked on the surreal life after death film, What dreams may come.
“I love the fact that it’s so fun and honest,” Williams said Screendaily. “The idea of being that nasty and funny is a gift!” . I’m kind of stoked to see Williams on screen again. Especially when he’s about to go full retard with 90 minutes of script.
