Ronda Rousey may no longer be the undefeated Queen of the UFC Women’s Bantamweight division (after being divorced of her consciousness thanks to a hellacious Holly Holm beatdown), but her attempted conquest of Hollywood is still going strong. The MMA star and Olympic judoka has already scored several acting gigs that take full advantage of her physical skills, but now she’s going to try something potentially even more painful than being kicked in the face for a living: Comedy.

Deadline is reporting that Rousey will be teaming up with fan favourite comedienne Tina Fey – so at least one person in this endeavour definitely knows what they’re doing – for a new comedy from Universal titled Do Nothing Bitches. The script pitch comes from Paula Pell, a veteran SNL writer who also penned Fey and BFF Amy Poehler’s recent big box office comedy smash Sisters. The logline for the script is being kept under wraps for now, but it will reportedly be “a female-empowerment tale dealing with wealthy pampered wives who get a rude awakening at a camp where Rousey plays the no-nonsense instructor.” Fey will be playing one of these wives, and I’m sure that at this point we’re all praying to whatever deities we hold dear that Poehler will be another.

If you’re an MMA fan like I am, then you would probably have guessed that for the title and pitch, Pell took her inspiration from Rousey’s own coined term of “Do Nothing Bitches”. This was a catchphrase she popularized last year when she released a video to respond to criticisms from some publications that her muscular physique was too un-feminine.

And for the folks who can’t watch the video.

“I have this one term for the kind of woman my mother raised me to not be, and I call it a do nothing bitch. A DNB. The kind of chick that just tries to be pretty and be taken care of by someone else. That’s why I think it’s hilarious if my body looks masculine or something like that. Listen, just because my body was developed for a purpose other than f*cking millionaires doesn’t mean it’s masculine. I think it’s femininely badass as f*ck because there’s not a single muscle on my body that isn’t for a purpose, because I’m not a do nothing bitch. It’s not very eloquently said but it’s to the point and maybe that’s just what I am. I’m not that eloquent but I’m to the point.”

Indeed.

After gigs in The Expendables 3, Furious 7 and The Entourage Movie, this will just be one of many roles that Rousey has lined up as she still has the Road House remake, Mile 22 with Mark Wahlberg and Iko Uwais, The Athena Project and her own biopic, My Fight/Your Fight (in which she plays herself), all in the pipeline. And of course there’s that whole “trying to get revenge on Holly Holm for knocking her the f*ck out” thing she still needs to attend to this year.
