Boy, you know your comic book movie sucks when you can’t even get a number one debut…

Holding onto its first spot is Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation, slowly making itself felt for its long-running franchise. It appears that everyone loves it too, so expect this one to stay for a while.

Debuting at number two and already the most talked-about flop of the year (in a year full of some incredible flops) is The Fantastic Four. While not everyone agrees on WHY it sucks, everyone seem to agree that it does.

Minions is finally pushed a little lower, slipping down to third. But if no big debut appears this week, it will probably go back to second.

At fourth is Ant-Man, again slipping one spot – clearly more of a fan-loved than paying-audience movie. still, next week it may also rebound a spot.

Debuting at fifth is Trainwreck, a comedy about a hard-partying reporter in some rom-com stuff but with a fantastic cast.

Dropping two spots is Pixels, the movie that I’m tired of poking at. Obviously some people out there love it.

Woman in Gold also drops two spots, but I would have never expected it to do this well, being decidely more sophisticated than the usual crowd. Perhaps that is why it performs – something for the more discerning moviegoer in what must seem like a cultural wasteland.

Debuting at eighth is The Vatican Tapes, which the writers here loathed but clearly our readers enjoyed quite a bit. It’s another Exorcist-style horror, but it’s a sub-genre that is more likely to be interesting than not.

Inside Out celebrates a second week return to the charts and hold steady at number nine.

Finally, at tenth is Lila & Eve, the revenge thriller that at two weeks has at least avoided flash in the pan status. Still, this is probably its last appearance here.

Exiting the charts this week are Entourage, Jurassic World and San Andreas.
