Scarlett Johansson is starting to make a name for herself. As an ass-kicker. While she ruined one of the best lines from Tony Stark in the Avengers, her performance otherwise as the lethal Black Widow in the current slate of Marvel movies has been well received so far.
And she’ll be continuing that trend of boots to asses for director Luc Besson in Lucy.
Johansson will play the part of a young lady who finds herself forced into the drug mule trade, but with a twist. Apparently “Lucy” happens to have swallowed a condom filled with the super-soldier serum, as she’ll accidentally ingest the properties of said drug and find herself with a ton of kickass installed into her system, as well as some other abilities.
Lucy also finds that in addition to heightened brawling instincts, she also feels less pain, can absorb knowledge in an instant and has some telepathy to boot. Sounds ridiculous, and with Besson behind the camera, possibly rad. As for current work, Johansson can be seen next in the Joseph-Gordon Levitt film Don Jon, the alien drama Under the skin and the upcoming Captain America sequel, the Winter Soldier.
