Sh*t's about to get stabby in four new TV spots for LONDON HAS FALLEN!

Normally, I tend to not make articles about TV spots for movies, as they tend to be too short to really warrant a full write-up. And when it comes to length, the new TV spot for London Has Fallen is no different, clocking in at just 16 seconds. But holy freaking hell, what a crazy, R-rated NSFW 16 seconds it is!

Man, I feel at least 35% more manly – or sociopathic – just from watching that! While some publications rebuked Olympus Has Fallen for it’s grim violence, I really dug it because of how unashamedly hardcore it was. And clearly whoever cut together this TV spot for the sequel knows exactly how to appeal to people like me!

It had previously been reported that this sequel would be dropping down from the first film’s R-rating to a more family friendly PG-13 – something which the not-so-impressive first trailer for London Has Fallen reinforced – but somewhere along the lines the studio appears to have changed their minds and I couldn’t be happier.

There are few more TV spots that also dropped in the last few days, but while good, none of them can really compete with the stabbiness up top.

Here’s the film’s full synopsis, which could really just have been replaced with “Gerard Butler stabs people a lot and then has a casual drink with the President” and it would have been enough to get me in the door:

London Has Fallen begins after the British Prime Minister passes away. His funeral then becomes a target of a terrorist organization to destroy some of the world’s most powerful leaders, devastate the British capital, and unleash a terrifying vision of the future. The only hope of stopping it rests on the shoulders of the President of the United States (Eckhart) and his formidable Secret Service head (Butler), and an English MI-6 agent who rightly trusts no one.

London Has Fallen stars Gerard Butler, Aaron Eckhart, Morgan Freeman, Angela Bassett, Melissa Leo, Radha Mitchell, Robert Forster, Jackie Earle Haley, and Waleed Zuaiter. Swedish filmmaker Babak Najafi (Snabba Cash II) takes over from original director Antoine Fuqua for this sequel, which is scheduled to open worldwide on March 4, 2016.
