Fifty Shades Darker is the sequel to last years Fifty Shades of Grey, based on (what are technically) the novels written by E.L. James. Stars Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan return to rekindle their romance contractual agreement – hopefully with the large pay rise they wanted as the first movie was incredibly profitable earning in the region of $560 million off a budget of $40 million; and despite no one wanting to admit to us that they’d seen it.
The official plot synopsis is as follows:
When a wounded Christian Grey tries to entice a cautious Ana Steele back into his life, she demands a new arrangement before she will give him another chance. As the two begin to build trust and find stability, shadowy figures from Christian’s past start to circle the couple, determined to destroy their hopes for a future together.
You know what? As far as teaser trailers go, I actually like this one – it teases. And yes, I am intrigued… to see the trailer. I also couldn’t help but think why does his mask have to be so plain and boring.
Is someone going to be bold enough to admit to looking forward to the sequel?
Fifty Shades Darker is due for release in the US on 10 February, just in time for Valentine’s Day. Directed by James Foley, it stars Dakota Johnson, Jamie Dornan, Tyler Hoechlin, Kim Basinger, Bella Heathcote, Hugh Dancy and Max Martini.
