Trespass Against Us is the upcoming action drama starring Brendan Gleeson and Michael Fassbender as a father and son criminal duo who trespass against others. And then against each other.
The official plot synopsis is as follows:
A man looks to find a way to escape the criminal ways of his outlaw family.
Which is not the most helpful one I’ve ever seen. Thankfully the trailer more than makes up for that. Take a look:
So is anyone else as surprised as I was by the sudden flip from light to dark? I was sitting here thinking this looks like a fun little comedy featuring some happy-go-lucky criminals… and then things changed. Michael Fassbender is someone you can always rely on to be intense and Brendan Gleeson is a right Nick bastard under that initial good old boy veneer. I’m definitely keeping an eye out for this one.
What do you think?
Trespass Against Us is due for release online in the US on 24 November and receives a limited release sometime next year – but I’ll be very surprised if it’s not picked up for wider distribution at some point. Directed by Adam Smith, with the script by Alastair Siddons, it also stars Lyndsey Marshal, Georgie Smith and Rory Kinnear.
