Step aside boys, Gal Gadot is Wonder Woman in BATMAN VS SUPERMAN

Wonder Woman (2)

There’ve been a couple of rumours regarding Batman vs Superman lately, pointing towards a direction that would find the last son of Krypton flying into a bigger, braver new world. And it looks like those rumours were spot on. Make way boys, because the mighty Amazon Wonder Woman will be joining that film and bringing the DC trinity factor to the big screen.

Gal Gadot will be wielding the unbreakable lasso of truth as the Amazonian princess of power in the Man of Steel sequel. It’s also a bit of interesting casting, because the press release firmly reads Wonder Woman, and not Diana Prince. That points to an origin story being ditched, to see the iconic character take center stage in a big film. A pretty bold move overall. In a comment about the casting, director Zack Snyder said:

Wonder Woman is arguably one of the most powerful female characters of all time and a fan favorite in the DC Universe. Not only is Gal an amazing actress, but she also has that magical quality that makes her perfect for the role. We look forward to audiences discovering Gal in the first feature film incarnation of this beloved character.

Gadot was last seen in several The Fast and the Furious films, playing the role of Gisele, and had several scenes involving quite  abit of action. She’s going to need to start hitting the gym with Cavill though for her role, and shoveling entire KFC family meals into her mouth in order to get the protein flowing.

On the villain front, the rumour mill is pointing towards Callan “Zero Dark Thirty” Mulvey to step in and lay some form of smackdown on the assembled heroes. As to which villain he’d play, no one knows but shave that head and I think we’d have a pretty mean-looking Lex Luthor.

Batman vs Superman will be up, up and away in 2015 and will star Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck and a very welcome Gal Gadot.

As much as I love my Israeli women, this is a bit of a weak casting choice to me.

Surely a stronger actress, as opposed to eye-candy with some acting experience, would be better for such a long-awaited and important role?

No man!! She is waaaaay too skinny! Surely Lynn Collins, Jessica Biel or Gina Carano would’ve been a better choice…
