The good the bad and the ugly of the past week – 19 June 2015

3 min read

If this week has taught me anything, it’s that Geoff is literally a machine. Also, I discovered that I’m poor. I’m going to need far more money in my bank account before I can ever hope to afford all the upcoming gaming goodness that was showcased at E3!

Best Stories

Where do I even begin? Fallout 4, Doom 4, Dishonored 2 ReCore, Xbox One gets native 360 backwards compatibility, Xbox One gets game modding for Fallout 4, Dark Souls 3, Microsoft brings a collection of RARE’s games to Xbox One – along with a new one, Gears of War 4, Hololens, Mass Effect: Andromeda, Unravel, The sequel to South Park: The Stick of Truth, For Honor, Ghost Recon Wildlands, The Last Guardian, Horizon: Zero Dawn, Dreams, Final Fantasy VII remake, Shenmue 3, Hitman, Star Fox Zero, The Legend of Zelda: Triforce Heroes, Mario and Luigi Paper Jam, a sequel to NieR

PHEW! I think I got them all. SO MANY GAMES ARE COMING!

Worst Stories

EA weren’t completely useless this E3. I mean, they did show us Unravel and announced the new Mass Effect. The rest of their conference though? BORING TO THE MAX!

Nintendo were equally disappointing. They didn’t announce anything that made us go WOW!

Random Stories

As meh as the Nintendo conference was, I still love them thanks to their WTF muppets. Seriously, how can you not laugh at this? SO RANDOM!

Header of the Week

There were no real header shenanigans this week I’m afraid… except for this literal one by Geoff

ION of the Week

Is this even up for discussion? It’s the Fallout 4 Pip-Boy Collector’s Edition on Wired Wednesday obviously!

Most Comments

No Man’s Sky is out of this world according to Zoe’s preview, something which gathered up 94 comments.

Least Comments

Urgh… I pulled some graveyard shifts this week to get the news up as soon as it happened. Some of you couldn’t be bothered to be up though, because a ton of articles in the wee hours of the morning got zero loving. WHERE IS THE LOVE I ASK?

Batman of the Week

Geoff really worked hard this week, spitting out content to fill the gaps, editing ALL THE THINGS, and doing all sorts of design stuff too. On top of it all, he managed to nab Batman. How he does it, I’ll never know.

Meanwhile, fighting for the position of Robin believe it or not, you’ll find me and Alessandro. We are neck and neck! He has the lead for now, but I’ll be waiting till the absolute last second to report which of these two Porras is a worthy sidekick.

Update: Sigh… Sandy defeated me by the narrowest of margins. YOU WIN THIS TIME BRO! At least I’m not the…

Cabbage of the Week

The Dark Knight FARMS

I think this is a first. What has happened to the true Dark Knight? Is he off at E3, being awesome? Nope, there he is, taking some time off… farming away. Darryn is your cabbage this week!

Comment of the Week

Sorry people, there were far too many articles published this week, and in all the panic and rushing, I hardly had the time to read through comments. One I did laugh at however, was from Vampyre Squirrel on Dota 2 being reborn:

How can Dota 2 be reborn when it won’t f***ing die????

Bonus Content

Geoff never laughed Sad smile
