It is finally the weekend and I plan on canceling all social engagements so that I can play games. I am doing research, but I believe that I need approximately eight more hours each day to do all the things that I want to do. Anyone have a Delorean I can borrow?
So much good news this week. Half-Life 3 might still happen in VR, Skyrim is improving and our COD: AW tournament was a massive success. However, my favorite news of the week was that I was surprised by how much I loved Helldivers. It wasn’t a game on my radar – I didn’t expect to even like it, and instead I’m absolutely won over by it.
Bad news if you’re not in possession of a new generation console – you won’t be playing Mad Max. Of course, regardless of which consoles you have, you won’t be playing Gone Home either. Sony sees f2p games as a major part of its future, but the worst news come from Microsoft this week.
Halo was broken in SA for months. We reached out for comment from Microsoft and they avoided us for a while. It appears that they waited to comment until they were prepared to flip the switch and get multiplayer to work properly (this is total speculation and not an accusation – it’s just how things seem from the outside).
I know you guys hate that I choose food almost every week, but I am a huge Ramen fan and I couldn’t pass on this one. I actually prefer Udon to Ramen, but it’s still a delectable soup that makes me incredibly happy. Winter is coming, and so is Ramen season.
Oh look, what a surprise. Geoff wrote about PC being the dominant gaming platform and people had lots to say. Then again, most of the comments were about the header image instead. In other news, the sun is scheduled to rise tomorrow.
Poor Sandy, people didn’t leave him many comments this week. That’s despite publishing breaking news about HTC making Valve’s VR headset. How will we ever convince him to work late again?
Batman of the Week
Is this the beginning of a streak, because I really don’t want to imagine a streaking Darryn. Still, he is our Batman of the week and we must all take a knee.
Header of the Week
It isn’t only about photoshop skills. Sometimes, it just takes the right image on the right topic to make everyone laugh and comment. Geoff wins with Brett the Hitman Hart usage on his article titled “PC is, was, and always will be the dominant gaming platform.”
Comment of the Week
The Wank Band led to some hilarious comments. HvR wins it with his cunning use of Batman gif and Darryn joke.
Probably the reason why we haven’t had loadshedding for more than a week.
So close to going over 9000. Please just keep watching on repeat and make Darryn happy in time for the weekend.
