Best rpg

I think I love RPGs most of all. They have always been my favorite genre of gaming, and it’s hard to pick a favorite. However, one game blew my mind this year, giving me the best RPG experience of 2014, hands down.

And the winner is… Dragon Age: Inquisition!

DAI iron bull

Bioware did it again with their latest RPG. Filled with expansive story telling, side missions that feel like main activities, rich and diverse characters, and loads of environments to explore. It’s the biggest game that Bioware has made to date, and is their most immersive. From romance to friendship, combat to exploration, Dragon Age: Inquisition has all the things you’re looking for, and more. Plus, with extensive leveling systems, skill trees and crafting, this RPG goes into more depth than most we’ve seen in recent years. I’m so intrigued by the various paths to take, I will need to replay as the various roles – next up, Qunari mage!

Whether you’re new to the series or a die hard fan of old, Dragon Age: Inquisition offered the best RPG experience of the year.

Honourable mentions

South Park: The Stick of Truth, Dark Souls II

They didn’t teach Zoe to spell properly when she went to school in America. :/

“Honorable,” is a correct spelling…. not sure what the bitching is about here. An excuse to hate the US? 😉

Honorable is a attack on the Queen’s English… There is nothing honourable about attacking the queen

Didn’t the US successfully reject the monarchy and win that right? 😀

I understand you’re joking here, but personally I don’t get the massive defensiveness of the British public to the monarchy. Recently Kate and Wills were here in the US and a basketball player touched her back when they were posing for a photograph and you guys made a HUUUUGE deal over it in your press. You guys aren’t even allowed to touch them yet have killed/overthrown many of them and spent so long clawing away every last bit of power from them, yet now pretend like you’ve liked them all along and have now made them into like some sort of endangered animal you can look at in a zoo but not touch.

You guys? We’re a South African based website and kicked out the queen and her cohorts many years ago.

However there are many things the English got right and jsut abusing theur language because it’s difficult is not acceptable… Honour needs to be earned…

//// really I have no major issue but in South African English then the word has the U in it.. Colour, Honour etc.. Zoe is our American writer and as such we get to make fun of her 🙂

Oh… haha well you seemed defensive of the Queen, so I figured you were british! Sorry about that, the story from the basketball player touching Kate was fresh in my mind and I thought a had a chance to give a pro-royal Brit an earful about it!

Yeah, I’ve seen all those spellings before. Not sure why it got changed over here. It does make more phonetic sense, at least in our accent, although that can’t be the only reason or there’d be countless words changed.

I didn’t wanna invade your site, I just found it on a google search not long ago and kind of liked it. 🙂 I’ll just take my lack-of-U’s home and go back to the ‘States’! 😉 I warn you though, I may be back with some American friends to start a color revolution here, our honor must be defended!

you are welcome back anytime! i purposely refuse to add ‘u’ to color and honor just to keep everyone on their toes here in South Africa… plus it leads to some light-hearted fun in the comment section if they do happen to notice. always happy to have people from my homeland reading my words 🙂

Couldn’t get far in this game 🙁 Was just too boring and full of filler. Story was also kind of weak….But I can see why its praised so much, just didn’t appeal to me

I haven’t played DA:I yet, but for all the others I wouldn’t have picked any of the same (consoles aside: because I don’t know :))
