The Wolf Pack is going to be howling drunk in Tijuana, for Hangover 3

They’ve wrecked the city of sin, Las Vegas, and the city of dubious genders, Bangkok, so what’s next for the gang of inebriated party animals from The Hangover?

Well, if you happen to live south of the US border, you might just want to lock up your deadliest roosters and hide the tequila worms, because the Wolf pack is hitting Tijuana next year. The Hangover 3 will be set in Mexico according to various sources, which will see the crew breaking out Zach Galifianakis’ man child character Max Payne Allan out of a mental institution.

Considering how the first sequel was the exact same film, except with an Asian flavour, this make for a much needed change of pace, although the lads are no doubt going to get hammered harder than a Tom Green movie when the sequel rolls around next year.

Other plot details are still being kept under lock and key right now, but one other suggestion, that screenwriter Craig Mazin made last year for the franchise, in an effort to spice up some originality, was also for the entire cast to meet an untimely demise at the end.

And honestly, if The Hangover 3 were to ditch alcohol for a two-hour session of Allan receiving the wrong end of an electrode, I’d pay good money to see that.

The Hangover 3 is scheduled for next year May, and will see the original cast reunite, with Todd Phillips once again directing.

Hangover 2 felt like it pulled its punches – it was afraid to go all-out. But I still enjoyed it. I think a third movie will be a good chance to see the series off on a big bang.

To comment on the first and second being exactly the same, I didn’t see a problem with that. Often change is bad – Raiders and Last Crusade had virtually identical rhythms – it was Temple that was the odd one out. What the sequel did wrong is it never pushed harder to surpass the first’s insanity. Few things in it matched classic moments like the police car being pulled up and the baby’s head getting bumped. Ed Helms and the stripper was excellent, but for a tale in Bangkok, the shit didn’t really hit the fan.

THAT was The Hangover 2’s problem. Who cares if the plot is the same?
