It’s at least another year until we can see Will Smith and Margot Robbie pair up alongside a bunch of brightly coloured crooks to get their Suicide Squad on, but that doesn’t mean we can’t see them getting up to no good together right now. This opportunity comes courtesy of Focus, a new conman romantic drama from Glenn Ficarra & John Requa, the writer-director duo behind Crazy, Stupid, Love. And if they could turn a bromance between Steve Carell and Ryan Gosling into a good time, then I have a feeling that a game Smith and smoking hot Robbie should be no problem at all.

Unlike Smith and Robbie’s characters in the movie though, who seem to be up to their conmen/women necks in problems, as you can see in this new trailer below.

Will Smith stars as Nicky, a seasoned master of misdirection who becomes romantically involved with novice con artist Jess (Margot Robbie). As he’s teaching her the tricks of the trade, she gets too close for comfort and he abruptly breaks it off. Three years later, the former flame—now an accomplished femme fatale—shows up in Buenos Aires in the middle of the high stakes racecar circuit. In the midst of Nicky’s latest, very dangerous scheme, she throws his plans for a loop…and the consummate con man off his game.

Focus also stars Rodrigo Santoro and Gerald McRaney, and will start conning you out of your money from February 27, 2014.
