I once had a cross-eyed teacher in high school (he really couldn’t control his pupils) who told me that seven days without a pun makes one weak. I never believed him, but it turns out that it’s true. I went without a pun for too long and it got so bad that I had to go see a doctor (I just didn’t trust the Doctor I ended up seeing though. He had no patients).
Luckily for you though, you won’t have to go through all that as these new six new posters for Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2, the sequel to Sony Pictures Animation’s 2009 box-office and critical hit, is serving up a huge helping of puns to keep you going.
“Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2” picks up where Sony Pictures Animation’s mouth-watering comedy left off. Inventor Flint Lockwood thought he saved the world when he destroyed his most infamous invention — a machine that turned water into food causing cheeseburger rain and spaghetti tornadoes. But Flint soon learns that his invention survived and is now creating food-animals – “foodimals!” Flint and his friends embark on a dangerously delicious mission to battle hungry tacodiles, shrimpanzees, hippotatomuses, cheespiders and other foodimals to save the world – again!
I would like spend more time discussing the movie – which I’m really looking forward to as I found the first film utterly charming – but I’ve got to get going. This story has inspired me to go do a theatrical performance on puns. Well, it’s really just a play on words.
Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2 features the voices of Bill Hader, Anna Faris, James Caan, Will Forte, Andy Samberg, Benjamin Bratt, Neil Patrick Harris, Terry Crews, and Kristen Schaal will be served up in theatres on September 27, 2013.

You guys do realise that you’re talking about the sequel to an animated kids’ movie where a wacky guy turned the weather into Italian food, right? :p

I was just wondering if they could use a better word than “foodimals”, buut I couldn’t come up with one. Liked the first movie, I’ll watch this one on DVD.
