Oh dear, a new Tyler Perry movie. While I am personally not surprised that the highly prolific Perry’s films are a success, the thought of more of the same just scares me. He certainly knows how to reach a willing target audience without spending too much cash, but that doesn’t mean his films are necessarily good. In fact, Perry is turning into another Adam Sandler – where despite how much critics hate their films, they appear to be extremely successful. Like Sandler, Perry also tends to rely on a lot of the same gags, themes and cast in his films.

What’s worse, is that this time Tyler Perry is making another Madea film. Yes, if any series didn’t warrant endless sequels, its this one, but perhaps Perry’s costume is more comfortable than it looks, because he keeps making them. Perry seems to make a Madea film between every 2 or 3 of his other films, which unfortunately for a director who can make 2 or 3 movies a year, means we get to see an awful lot of this character.

However, as much as the humour doesn’t appeal to me, I have no doubt this new film will appeal to its target market quite strongly and be a success at the box office.

This time, we see the feisty Madea, played by Perry himself, take on the paranormal world of Halloween. The film, tiled Boo! A Madea Halloween will see Madea wind up in the middle of mayhem when she spends Halloween fending off killers, poltergeists, ghosts, ghouls, and zombies, while keeping a watchful eye on a group of misbehaving teens. It sounds like a premise for a decent horror movie, but it is likely to be filled with lots of appalling gags instead.

Check out the trailer below.

Along with the trailer, we also have some more pics from the film below.

Outisde of Perry, which will see not only play the titular Madea, but other characters in the film as well, the film will also star Bella Thorne, Cassi Davis, Patrice Lovely, Andre Hall, Yousef Erakat, Lexy Panterra, Diamond White, Liza Koshy, Brock O’Hurn, Jimmy Tatro, JC Caylen, Kian Lawley and Mike Tornabene. Many of these are Perry regulars, so its no surprise they are in the film.

The film will arriving in the US for Halloween and probably come out here not too long afterwards. Brace yourself for what might be the biggest horror(able film) of the Halloween season this year.
