This extended trailer for the THE FAULT IN OUR STARS is a grenade

Contrary to popular belief, I can actually feel more than just the craving for a full house steak gatsby. Out of all of these feelings though, heartbreaking sadness is generally not something I actively pursue in the movies I see. But some people – and I’m speaking from experience here due to being married to one – just love these types of movies, the weepier the better. And for these people, their teary Christmas may have come early with The Fault In Our Stars.

Reteaming with her The Spectacular Now screenwriters, Mark Weber and Scott Neustadter, Shailene Woodley plays one half of a “young love” couple WHO BOTH HAVE CANCER. Yep, Kleenex stock is about to shoot through the roof. And that’s just from this extended trailer which offers romance, teenage angst and – course – lots of snot en trane.

Hazel and Gus are two extraordinary teenagers who share an acerbic wit, a disdain for the conventional, and a love that sweeps them – and us – on an unforgettable journey. Their relationship is all the more miraculous, given that they met and fell in love at a cancer support group. “The Fault in Our Stars,” based upon the number-one bestselling novel by John Green, explores the funny, thrilling and tragic business of being alive and in love.

The Fault In Our Stars also stars Ansel Englort, Willem Dafoe, Nat Wolff, Laura Dern, Sam Trammell, Mike Birbiglia and Emily Peachey, and is scheduled for release on June 6, 2014.
