I have seen and really enjoyed both the previous Hunger Games movies, as well as read all the books (which I admittedly enjoyed less the further along they went). I mention this for two reasons: 1) so that our readers won’t accuse us of writing “the worst articles ever” again, just because a writer hasn’t seen a particular movie, and 2) I know how this story is going to end.

There are lots of people though, who watched and loved the first two movies but hadn’t read the books, who were left on a massive “shock-gasp-fade to black” cliffhanger ending that didn’t actually explain what the hell had just happened in the previous few minutes. For these people, the wait until the next chapter in the saga of Katniss Everdeen is a very, very long one. Lionsgate knows this and has been systematically giving us only the most incremental of updates in the film’s promo campaign, just to make that torturous agony all the sweeter.

And the next turn of the screw comes courtesy of this public address teaser that sees Donald Sutherland’s President Snow offering a speech, laden with ominous undertones, to the people of Panem (and more specifically a certain bow-shooting young lady) while Josh Hutcherson’s Peeta – who was taken at the end of Catching Fire – blankly stares on. Yes, there’s no Jennifer Lawrence to be seen, but it is still a pretty neat teaser.

The worldwide phenomenon of “The Hunger Games” continues to set the world on fire with The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1, which finds Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) in District 13 after she literally shatters the games forever. Under the leadership of President Coin (Julianne Moore) and the advice of her trusted friends, Katniss spreads her wings as she fights to save Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) and a nation moved by her courage.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 also stars Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Jeffrey Wright, Stanley Tucci, Donald Sutherland, Julianne Moore, Natalie Dormer, Stef Dawson, Evan Ross, Lily Rabe, Patina Miller, Wes Chatham, Elden Henson and Robert Knepper. It is scheduled for released on November 21, 2014.
