Last week saw steamy adaptation Fifty Shades of Grey finally getting its rating from the MPAA. Many fans were worried that the producers would wimp out and PG-13 the whole thing, removing all the horribly written very explicit sex play found in E.L. James’ novel. But in the end, Fifty Shades ended up getting its R-rating for the usual assortment of sexual acts, strong language and also “unusual behaviour”. Okay then.

Unfortunately/Fortunately, none of that unusual behaviour is on display in this new trailer for the flick, which, much like all the previous previews for it, is definitely playing up the teasing instead of the, well, butt plugs and inner goddesses. Also there’s a very blatant plug (pun not intended) at trying to get disappointed fans who wanted to see different actors in the roles,to think of star Jamie Dornan as literary sex god Christian Grey. Everything I’ve seen about this thus far though, and what little I’ve read from the book, leads me to believe that this will probably be a bit of a limp movie, and this trailer – despite being several shades steamier than most of the others – is definitely not changing my opinion on that.

Fifty Shades of Grey is the hotly anticipated film adaptation of the bestselling book that has become a global phenomenon. Since its release, the “Fifty Shades” trilogy has been translated into 51 languages worldwide and sold more than 100 million copies in e-book and print—making it one of the biggest and fastest-selling book series ever.

Stepping into the roles of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele, who have become iconic to millions of readers, are Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson.

Joining Dornan and Johnson in the cast are Luke Grimes as Elliot, Christian’s brother; Victor Rasuk as José, Anastasia’s close friend; Eloise Mumford as Kate, Anastasia’s best friend and roommate; Marcia Gay Harden as Dr. Grace Trevelyan Grey, Christian’s mother; Rita Ora as Mia, Christian’s sister; Max Martini as Taylor, Christian’s bodyguard; Callum Keith Rennie as Ray, Anastasia’s stepfather; Jennifer Ehle as Carla, Anastasia’s mother; and Dylan Neal as Bob, Carla’s husband.

Fifty Shades of Grey releases on Valentines Day, February 14, 2015, because nothing says “Be my Valentine” quite like BDSM.
