Frozen-1-550x412

I’ve got some love for Disney again lately. Their recent slate of films, such as The Princess and The Frog and Tangled has proven that they don’t need Pixar when it comes to creating some decent films. Disney is long overdue a third golden age of animated films, and their next one, Frozen, looks like it could keep that flame burning.

We’ve already seen one trailer for the film, but quite frankly, it was nothing more than a tech demo. Here’s a new trailer though, which shows off the actual movie properly. Albeit in Japanese. Yeah, it gets weirder.

When a prophecy traps a kingdom in eternal winter, Anna, a fearless optimist, teams up with extreme mountain man Kristoff and his sidekick reindeer Sven on an epic journey to find Anna’s sister Elsa, the Snow Queen, and put an end to her icy spell. Encountering mystical trolls, a funny snowman named Olaf, Everest-like extremes and magic at every turn, Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom from destruction.

Now we’re talking! Frozen looks gorgeous so far, and is clearly benefiting from the technology used in Tangled. The movie looks like it has a decent chunk of action and heart to go with it, and the addition of Olaf the snowman will most likely make it even more appealing for the kids.

Frozen stars the voices of Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Jonathan Groff, Josh Gad, Alan Tudyk and Santino Fontana, with Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee directing. It’ll be bringing in a cold front in November.
