I have to say that the duo formerly known as the Wachowski brothers, now as just the Wachowskis, did a damn good job of creating one of my favourite movies, that being The Matrix. I’ll even put my neck on the line and say I enjoyed the other two, just not as much as the first though. So I am tentatively excited that Jupiter Ascending will deliver something awesome and by the look of this new trailer it may just do that! Also it has Channing Tatum who may even be picking up an Oscar for his role in Foxcatcher so double reason to watch! Have a look and let me know if you think this will just offer pretty visuals or whether there will be a decent story too. Sean Bean also appears in the movie, odds he survives?

Jupiter Jones (Mila Kunis) was born under a night sky, with signs predicting that she was destined for great things. Now grown, Jupiter dreams of the stars but wakes up to the cold reality of a job cleaning other people’s houses and an endless run of bad breaks. Only when Caine (Channing Tatum), a genetically engineered ex-military hunter, arrives on Earth to track her down does Jupiter begin to glimpse the fate that has been waiting for her all along—her genetic signature marks her as next in line for an extraordinary inheritance that could alter the balance of the cosmos. From the streets of Chicago to far flung galaxies whirling through space.

The movie is set to be released in cinemas 6 February, 2015.

  1. When I read “From the streets of Chicago to far flung galaxies whirling through space” I automatically added, “these are the days of our lives.” It made me giggle.
