We’re all getting old. Some quicker than others, as Kervyn and Nick now resemble a horribly miscast reboot of Grumpy Old Men when they leave for work in the morning. It can be difficult to keep up with life, and just about everyone here has a family member who has no idea what the hell a FaceBook is. That’s pretty much the setup of HAPPYish, a new series starring Steve Coogan as a middle-aged guy who is struggling to keep up with the modern world around him. Fortunately, throwing a middle finger at these problems, is always a surefire cure.

Thom Payne is a 44 year-old man whose world is thrown into disarray when his 25 year-old “wunderkind” boss arrives, saying things like “digital,” “social” and “viral.” Is he in need of a “rebranding,” or does he just have a “low joy ceiling?” Maybe pursuing happiness is a fool’s errand? Maybe, after 44 years on this ludicrous planet, settling for happyish is the best one can expect.

The series premiere of HAPPYish, starring Steve Coogan, Kathryn Hahn and Bradley Whitford, is on April 26. And yes, your new young boss who throws buzz-words around is a jerkass. Clearly, everyone but you is compeltely wrong about everything in life.
