Transporter-The-Series

You know, for a show about a guy whose whole shtick is that he delivers timeously, it sure has been a long time since we last heard from Transporter: The Series. Nearly a year and a half, to be exact. Since then the TV adaptation of the fast cars and faster kicks movie franchise that made a star out Jason Statham had actually aired it’s 12-episode first season in France, Germany and Canada already, but not anywhere else. It’s finally getting further distribution though, after being recently picked up by US TV network TNT.

So to show off what they purchased, as one does, a flashy new trailer has been released showing Chris Vance (Prison Break, Rizzoli & Isles) standing in for the Stath as Frank Martin, the ex-Special Forces operator turned black-suited driver who only asks that you follow his three simple rules, and is not afraid to bust some heads if you don’t.

Transporter: The Series has been added to TNT’s Fall lineup, so expect it to begin airing in the US (and then maybe locally not too long thereafter) in the third quarter of the year.

  1. It has actually aired elsewhere, just er… unofficially. All I remember of the pilot is that he’s about as charismatic as a plank with a nail in it.
