Vice-poster-2

Does Bruce Willis owe you a lot of money? He definitely owes somebody money. I make this assumption about his debt because him living paycheck to paycheck is the only reason I can think of as to why he’s been starring in a string of particularly mediocre looking movies as of late. What’s worse, is that he keeps dragging down other other actors who you also expect to be above this meh-ness.

His latest cinematic debit order comes in the form of Vice, which as this first trailer reveals is a sci-fi thriller that feels like the inbred child of I,RobotDollhouse and The Matrix, only nowhere near as awesome as that sounds. Willis’ partner in crime in this the otherwise dependable Thomas Jane who seems to have swapped out his normal tough guy persona to instead look like a walking “Before” picture in a Pantene ad. Ray Donovan‘s Ambyr Childers is also along for the ride, and luckily she appears to have more to do than just phone in rote bad guy dialogue or have greasy hair, as she plays an android who starts remembering things she’s not supposed to be before going all “I know kung fu” on some generic near-future baddies.

Maybe I’m being too harsh on Vice, as this is just a trailer, but based on Willis’ most recent track record I wouldn’t get my hopes up.

Julian Michaels (Bruce Willis) has designed the ultimate resort: VICE, where anything goes and the customers can play out their wildest fantasies with artificial inhabitants who look, think and feel like humans. When an artificial (Ambyr Childers) becomes self-aware and escapes, she finds herself caught in the crossfire between Julian’s mercenaries and a cop (Thomas Jane) who is hell-bent on shutting down Vice, and stopping the violence once and for all.

Vice releases on VOD and in theatres on January 16, 2015

Clearly, you’re not familiar with the term “willis” as a verb. You can totally willis something to somebody. People willis stuff to me all the time.

(no, I’m not just trying to cover for somehow missing a word in that sentence)

        Nah, Not buying it >_<
But I do agree that the quality of his movies have been on a steady decline.
