The tributes get all dressed up in these "Victory Portraits" posters for THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE

Just like I predicted last week, the promo engine for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire has been kicked into high gear. I imagine much scurrying about like monsters over at Lionsgate which won’t stop until Katniss and her hungry and flammable friends return at the end of the year.

We’ve already had a trio of releases in this meta “Victory Portraits” of posters, but last night we had a whole heap of new ones dumped on us, including the lady of the hour/day/week/year, Jennifer Lawrence.

Now as you recall, these posters are supposed to be taking the form of a series of portraits commissioned by Capitol Couture magazine, a fashion publication found in the movies. The series kicked off with Elizabeth Banks’s District 12 chaperone Effie Trinket, Stanley Tucci’s TV personality Caesar Flickerman and Woody Harrelson’s District 12 mentor Haymitch Abernathy, all of which we’ve also included below. Now joining those we finally get Jennifer Lawrence’s heroine, Katniss Everdeen, looking all peackocky, her fashion guru and best friend Cinna, played by Lenny Kravitz, and then also our very first looks at a pair of ex-Hunger Games champions: the tech-savvy Beetee played by Jeffrey Wright, and the scheming Johanna played by Jenna Malone.

Directed by Francis Lawrence (Constantine, I Am Legend) and starring Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Donald Sutherland, Toby Jones, Jena Malone, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Amanda Plummer and many more, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire will be burning down a cinema near you on November 22, 2014.

THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a “Victor’s Tour” of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) – a competition that could change Panem forever.

oh that’s brilliant, always pictured Jeffrey Wright as Beetee when I read it (although I never knew that was his name, at the time!)
