Tom Hardy lays down the law in these new clips from LAWLESS

If you have ever seen the criminally underwatched Bronson or last year’s Warrior, you would know that Tom Hardy is not a man to be trifled with. For your own safety, there is a permanent ban on trifles.

And just because he is no longer sporting trapezium muscles big enough to be classified as hillocks by some geologists in director John Hillcoat’s Lawless, doesn’t mean that he has suddenly changed his stance on the acceptance of donations of people excrement.

He still doesn’t take crap from anybody, as can be evidenced in these two new clips.

The first clip also goes a long way to confirming my initial suspicions that Guy Pearce will spend the bulk of the movie just spitting out splinters from all the scenery chewing he’ll be doing. As his city-slicker new deputy in town gets to verbal jousting with Hardy’s backwater bootlegger, he seems to be just a few seconds removed from chomping down on the scenery like its drenched in that Spur 1000 Island sauce that everybody always pours over everything.

In the second clip, Shia LeBeouf has just taken a beating from some unknown assailants, and big brother Tom Hardy – who is normally on the other end of the bloody knuckles – is none too pleased with this. Cue Hardy’s first class of How To Be a Badass 101. Take notes, there might be a quiz later.

Synopsis:
