Games for Windows Live, Microsoft’s beleaguered initiative to unify online PC gaming has been beset with problems, not least of which is negative gamer sentiment. The service has just been dealt another blow, as it appears that its general manager Chris Early was one of the casualties in Microsoft’s recent spate of layoffs.
What effects this will have on the future of the ailing Games for Windows Live service remain to be seen, but axing the head of the division – as well as further possible job cuts within the group – likely bode ill.
