The trailer for Doctor Who Series 10 is full of wonder

Today is one of those rare days where the Whovians on the crew fumbled the ball and left Doctor Who news just lying there, waiting for some kind stranger to pick it up and bring it to your attention. Luckily I found it first! Let me have a look at this trailer for the show that everyone loves but that I know nothing about. What could go wrong? Wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey exterminate bazinga.

Anywho Doctor Who series 10, the 36th season overall of the iconic and very British sci-fi series, marks the third and final journey of Peter Capaldi as the Twelfth Doctor, as well as the end of Steven Moffat’s run as showrunner after six series at the helm. Pearl Mackie will make her debut as the Time Lord’s new companion Bill Potts, taking the place of Jenna Coleman’s Clara Oswald Cobblepot who departed at the end of series 9, and Matt Lucas’s Nardole returns.

The synopsis for the series is as follows:

This is the gateway to everything that ever was or ever can be. This is Doctor Who Series 10.

That sounds ominous doesn’t it? Let’s take a look:

I don’t know what’s going on. Well I recognised the hand-challenged R2-D2 progenitors and according to Darryn those things with the white balaclavas and silly helmets are called “Monday’s Cybermen”, presumably because no one likes them. I could’ve gotten that wrong, I wasn’t really listening.

Kidding aside, that doesn’t look too bad now does it? The key to Doctor Who has always been to have fun and enjoy the moment, and that seems to be exactly what they’re doing. What do you think?

Doctor Who Series 10 kicks off its 12 episode long season on 15 April.

  1. The Whovians there deserve to be SILENCED for missing out this news!

As awesome as all the rest of the stuff in this trailer looks, the main things I saw was THE RETURN OF MISSY!

I just hope this new companion isn’t as annoying as she appears to be in the trailer.
