Trinity joins Nolan's Interstellar

Love him or hate him, but Christopher Nolan has made a gigantic impact on Hollywood as a director and producer, ever since Guy Pierce first lost his memory in Memento, right up until the much debated Dark Knight Rises from 2012, and is mostly known for being able to take a very grounded approach to even the most far-fetched of concepts.

Well, as some of you might be aware, he is sinking his teeth into something a bit of sci-fi and I, for one, am extremely excited about what he has in store for us. The film is called Interstellar, and is based on a script by his brother and frequent collaborator, Jonathan Nolan.

While we don’t know much about the film, from what I’ve managed to piece together, it will seemingly involve a group of explorers and scientists who travel through a wormhole to another dimension. Sounds good to me, especially with Nolan at the helm! Comingsoon has the following to say regarding Interstellar:

Interstellar will depict a heroic interstellar voyage to the furthest reaches of our scientific understanding.

Descriptive! Well, what we do know is that the film is already sporting a rather impressive cast, which includes Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hatheway, Jessica Chastain, Michael Cane and Casey Affleck. As I said, rather impressive indeed. Well, it is about to get even better – John Lithgow has also signed on to Interstellar in an unspecified role, wrapping up the casting.

Lithgow is known for his role on 3rd Rock From The Sun (with Nolan frequent collaborator Joseph Gordon-Levitt, no less) and more recently as the charismatic Trinity Killer in Showtime’s Dexter series a long with a string of other roles. All I know is, whenever Lithgow appears on screen he oozes charm and adds a touch of class to any class, no matter what the pedigree. My excitement for this just reached a whole new level!
