Valve Hinting at 10th Team Fortress 2 Class in L4D?

coco pops Kotaku has reported that The Left 4 Dead demo may contain a subtle clue at some changes that may be coming to Team Fortress 2. There is a box of cereal (pictured above) in the first apartment. The image on the box teases collectible six-inch Team Fortress 2 action figures. It says to “collect all 10,” but Team Fortress 2 players know very well that the game only contains nine classes.

It’s an awesome find as I’ve played through the demo 3 times and didn’t notice it. Most of the TF2 updates so far have only released on PC so if you are a console gamer, I wouldn’t get too excited just yet. There have been other rumours of it being an extra character class for TF2 but my money is on exactly what it says on the box – some TF2 action figures, something fans of the game have been pining for, for ages. I’d have a set of those in my collection any day.

While a cool way for the Valve devs to hint at things, I don’t think they’re hinting at a 10th class. They could well be hinting at action figures. Including a sentry 😉

im quite annoyed that valve said they would be giving scout update details in the next couple of days, that was 36 days ago. not cool valve! . Still big up to valve, at least i know its on the way ( that and they are doing more than any other producer to ensure a long lasting fun game )

Lazy gamer staff i have figuered out what the new game mode will be for the scout update, if you look in the energy drink page you will see two carts in the backround on the same map, one red one blue, its a cart race, how cool is that

The 10th class will be Civilian, if you push the right buttons you can spawn as one. Currently it uses the heavy model, and they can only move, no weapon. When they are complete the will get an umbrella as a melee weapon.

They are going to be part of escort maps.
