Vin Diesel believes in ghosts in the theatrical trailer for FAST & FURIOUS 6

The Fast & The Furious franchise films have been providing a steady income for its cast for over a decade now. Yes, even Paul Walker. Well, as most of you already know, Vin Diesel, his white vests and the rest if us car thugs are back for some more ridiculously over the top muscle car action in Fast & Furious 6, and we have a trailer for you to gawk at.

Gawk is the right word to use, perhaps. Remember how I mentioned earlier about the films being ridiculously over the top? Well, this one seems like the king daddy of the whole lot. Okay, let’s take a quick role call. Doing battle with a tank? Check. Pulling an airplane in the midst of takeoff out of the sky? Check. Dwayne Johnson gets more hang time than Michael Jordan? Check. Smashing a car out of the front of the crashing plane? Check.  Michelle Rodriguez’s character is miraculously alive? Hold the phone! She must be overjoyed to finally have survived a film fora change, as it doesn’t very happen to her very often. From the looks of the trailer though, she might not survive this one.

Have a gander at the trailer:

Now, while I’ve never been interested in the Fast franchise, I did relatively enjoy the previous installment, even if Dwayne Johnson seemed to spend most of the film drowning in his own sweat. This one looks pretty entertaining as well, but I’m sure we can all agree that nobody is expecting an Oscar winner. I’m quite positive the film is going to do pretty well at the box office, which isn’t surprising at all.

Here’s the synopsis:

Since Dom (Diesel) and Brian’s (Walker) Rio heist toppled a kingpin’s empire and left their crew with $100 million, our heroes have scattered across the globe. But their inability to return home and living forever on the lam have left their lives incomplete.
Meanwhile, Hobbs (Johnson) has been tracking an organization of lethally skilled mercenary drivers across 12 countries, whose mastermind (Evans) is aided by a ruthless second-in-command revealed to be the love Dom thought was dead, Letty (Rodriguez). The only way to stop the criminal outfit is to outmatch them at street level, so Hobbs asks Dom to assemble his elite team in London. Payment? Full pardons for all of them so they can return home and make their families whole again.

So, I pose another question onto you guys: Are you a fan of the franchise, and will you be seeing this one in the cinema?
