World of Warcraft continues to deliver with Legion’s 7.1 update

World of Warcraft Legion has been out for just over six weeks and I still continue to play daily for at least three hours. This is either testament to my lifestyle choices, or the fact the Legion is by far one of the the best expansions to date. There’s honestly too much to do, from Mythic+, raiding The Emerald Nightmare, Rated Battlegounds, PvP, and the latest patch is going to bring even more to the World of Warcraft.

Despite all the already captivating content, a large majority of my time in WoW is spent gathering herbs to make potions and flasks, and although I just run in circles, I honestly cannot stop playing. Patch 7.1 brings in a number of additions to World of Warcraft, including the Return to Karazhan mega-dungeon and Trials of Valor, a mini-raid instance to act as an interstitial phase between the Emerald Nightmare and The Nighthold. The Nighthold raid will pick up on the Nightfallen storyline which has been an absolute grind in true World of Warcraft fashion. Despite the ongoing daily Emissary quests, grinds for legendries, and herbing, World of Warcraft is planning to keep players locked in for the remainder of the expansion.

However, there are still a number of issues surrounding World of Warcraft with regard to balances, and annoyances within the game. Certain classes received considerable buffs and nerfs a few weeks back which left players a bit angry. Blizzard addressed these issues during the Developer Update on Friday where newly named Director of World of Warcraft Ion Hazzikostas discussed the upcoming changes.

With BlizzCon around the corner everyone seems hyped about the rumoured announcement of Diablo 4. While I’m remaining sane and guessing it’s going to be a new expansions, what I’m really excited to see if what Blizzard have planned for World of Warcraft in 2017 regarding upcoming raids and new content.

I have already experienced all of the current content on my Druid and I am a slow player. So I am quite happy they are staying very far away from their warlords philosophy.

I just love what they have done in the expansion. They made questing easy, fun and interesting. Each class’ different talent trees are really unique and super fun. There is so much content and so much to do.

PvP is really balanced and they are still making loads of class balance changes. After 12 years of insane PvP, they actually managed to hit the sweet spot for PvP. No need to grind your ass off to get pvp gear, now you just focus on your artifact weapon and enjoy PvP … love it

The artifact weapon is an awesome concept and it really works very well. I cannot wait to see what else do they have for us on these artifact weapons.

a major content patch out so early after the expansion release … it is really amazing.

I just have to say it …. World of Warcraft is STILL the king of the MMORPGs … just accept it guys, there will never be a MMO that can top them…

every new expansion they release, they just add so much more than anyone could expect…

WoD was not perfect but it was still an awesome expansion … Legion is the best 😉

WoD was terrible with months to years before any new content.

Legion also has its issues. It is the least alt friendly expansion ever.

But yeah it is still the best MMO experience out there.

Also the legendary thing is annoying AF. I have 3 legendaries (two on the same character) where some of my guildies are still grinding every day for their first one.

Yeah and they are all terrible. Well maybe not the druid boots. Super Healing Touch every now and then is nice.

People bitching about not getting legendary items should stop crying. It is not like you have the right to get it, it is by luck and randomly given.

It is like people bitching they are not getting a bonus and they think it is their right … lol 😉

On the alt friendly part, I like it because you will find more people focusing on their main, it has it benefits.
Anyway, Blizzard said they will make it easier to get artifacts leveling for alts. Especially now with 7.1 where you do not need the rep to get attuned on alts.

It is not about getting legendaries but rather about some people already having 12 and some not having any. The RNG is buggered and even they have realized it. This is not the same as a bonus. Legendaries are supposed to be difficult to get not 3 in one day (I heard a guy got 3 in one day … stupid).

As for the alt friendliness rep is a bastard to get for alts an is an needed to get certain patterns. I run several alts and they all pretty much support my main with their professions. I noticed however that my rep tokens (for exalted factions) on my main switched from BoP to BoA from the mission table so that is nice.

The legendary thing however is a major flaw though.

Way too soon for Diablo 4. The bad launch of Diablo 3 is still in memory. Must admit they did fix the game, and after the expansion they truly delivered on what was promised/expected. Regarding Legion – having fun with it for sure. Just sucked having to level my “alt” first to get mining going as my main chose JC en BS as professions back in the day when they were “required” for tanking…you know, when they had extra sockets and special gems…
