Monday Night RAW took place at the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut. Here’s all the action that went down.

Paul Heyman and Rusev confronted Goldberg

Raw october 31 (2)

Monday Night RAW kicked off with none other than the master of the Jackhammer slam himself, Bill Goldberg, as he made his way to the ring. Once on the mic, Goldberg began a rant on Brock Lesnar but it wasn’t long before Paul Heyman made an appearance to tease the introduction of the beast incarnate. Instead, Goldberg got a face full of Rusev who ticked the former WCW champ off and got a Jackhammer in reply.

As for Heyman? He spent the rest of the night in hospital, thanks to a Spear from Goldberg that still looked rather deadly.

Enzo Amore defeated Luke Gallows in a Trick or Street Fight

Raw october 31 (4)

MONDAY NIGHT RAY, HOW YA DOIN’? The realest trick or treater in the room was ready for some action, in a rematch of sorts with Luke Gallows that was fought under the Trick or Street Fight rules. Enzo and Big Cass hit the ring ready for action and the season, as they were dressed up as Toy Story’s Buzz Lightyear and Woody.

Taking full advantage of the match setup, Enzo attacked Gallows with all manner of Halloween decorations, while Karl Anderson attempted to run some interference on the side. A big pie and an even bigger boot kept Anderson out of action for the rest of the match however, as Enzo stole a win with the deadly use of a pumpkin that helped end the match with a leaping top-rope DDT.

TJ Perkins defeated WWE Cruiserweight Champion Brian Kendrick via Count-out

Raw october 31 (5)

Brian Kendrick had everything to lose when he pulled every trick out of the book in his Hell In A Cell match to win the Cruiserweight gold off of TJ Perkins, and he certainly wasn’t ready to surrender his new title a day later on RAW. But with a savvier Perkins on the offense, could Kendrick trick his way out of a championship loss after a mere one-day title reign?

Yes, yes he could as Kendrick survived an unusually aggressive assault from Perkins that saw the mother of all Hurricanranas off the top rope send both men outside the ring. Outside the ring and with the referee counting to ten, Kendrick allowed Perkins to beat him back into the ring. Losing the match but not the title, Kendrick was in for some more punishment as Perkins put the champ in a kneebar on the ramp until he tapped.

Braun Strowman won a Battle Royal to qualify for the 5-on-5 Traditional Survivor Series Men’s Elimination Match

Raw october 31 (6)

Braun Strowman had been looking for a proper challenge for weeks now on RAW, and last night saw the strongman unleash the monster mash in a battle royale set up by Raw General Manager Mick Foley to give one superstar a ticket into Survivor Series. Tackling as much of the RAW roster as possible in the ring, Strowman took European uppercuts from Cesaro, Helluva Kicks from Sami Zayn and even a Brogue Kick from Sheamus in stride, resurrecting his chances in the final minutes of the match to send Zayn over the top rope.

Survivor Series is about to taste the gift of destruction when Strowman joins Kevin Owens, Chris Jericho and Roman Reigns on Team Red.

Rich Swann, Cedric Alexander and Lince Dorado defeated Tony Nese, Drew Gulak and Ariya Daivari

Raw october 31 (7)

RAW saw another Hell In A Cell rematch last night, as the cruiserweights clashed once again in tag team action. The lighter superstars ran havoc across the ring, but it was Swann who brought the match to a close with a jackknife cover on Nese while his teammates kept the ring clear.

Nia Jax defeated Bayley

Raw october 31 (8)

With Charlotte Flair now sitting at the top of the RAW Women’s Division food chain once again, she sought to make a statement. Specifically, that Bayley was the weakest member of her Survivor Series team in her eyes as she set up a match with the powerhouse Nia Jax to prove a point. With an injured arm thanks to Dana Brooke’s HIAC assault from Sunday, Bayley was far from 100%, as even a clever guillotine choke wasn’t enough to keep Jax down.

Bayley may have the heart of a champion, but Jax came into the match without damage and a brutal streak that saw her headbutt the huggable one off the top rope and end her night with a Samoan drop.

Cesaro and Sheamus defeated The Shining Stars

Raw october 31 (9)

With a Hell In A Cell loss that highlighted the wonky teamwork between Sheamus and Cesaro, the Swiss and Irish connection returned to the RAW ring looking to work out the kinks in their combined synergy. Although not perfect as a tag team, the two rivals managed to fight back against the seasoned Shining Stars, as Cesaro’s uppercuts kept Primo out of action long enough for Sheamus to drop Epico with a Cloverleaf submission.

And the match was won! Now if only the two partners can stop bickering over who deserves credit for the win.

U.S. Champion Roman Reigns defeated Chris Jericho via Disqualification

Raw october 31 (10)

Believe it or not, but Chris Jericho has never been a U.S Champion in his career. Heavyweight and tag team gold? Sure! But the chance to be the face of the U.S title? Nope! On RAW, Jericho was looking to finally add that patriotic gold to his collection when he fought a damaged Roman Reigns but a wounded and corner animal is always at its most dangerous as Y2J learnt the hard way.

With bestest pal Kevin Owens ringside to smash the face of Reigns into a turnbuckle when the ref had his back turned, the gift of Jericho was this close to winning his first ever U.S Championship. But Reigns powered his way out once again, absorbing the sheer punishment of Jericho’s entire arsenal of signature and finisher moves to avoid the three-count. With Reigns hitting a Spear that looked like it would finally end the match, Kevin Owens decided to drop the champ and end the match with a disqualification.

But the appearance of the Architect saw the former Shield teammates fight off Jeri-KO, as the Halloween edition of RAW came to a close.

  1. Vince should commission Braun Strowman and Nia Jax to have kids. They’d produce some of the biggest next gen wrestlers.

I was surprised to see Goldberg pick Rusev up for the jackhammer. He’s still as strong as an ox it seems

Not to be a nay-sayer, but that Jackhammer looked “tired” and the spear – I think Bulltetjie Rugby has harder tackles. Goldberg also looked “quick on the trigger” on blocking the second shot from Rusev. Up till that premature block the segment looked good though. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I7q7zG3Q6DQ
