WWE Monday Night RAW took place from the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. Here’s all the action that went down.

Big Show confronted Big Cass

RAW July 10 (3)

After the events of Great Balls of Fire, it’s safe to say that the partnership between Enzo Amore and Big Cass is definitely over. There’s a new giant roaming the WWE, and he’s ready to slay a few of his own kind as a tense stare-down with the Big Show kicked off RAW. Big Cass got more than he bargained for when he attempted to intimidate the Big Show, as the fresh headbutt that sent him packing can attest to.

Finn Bálor def. Elias Samson

RAW July 10 (6)

The trouble-making troubador finally got his one on one match with Finn Balor, giving the former champ a run for his money by targetting his recently repaired shoulder. Balor bounced back however, eventually closing the match with a Coup de Grâce that put Samson down for the count.

Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson def. The Hardy Boyz

RAW July 10 (7)

After an iron man tag team match that saw the Hardy Boyz lose to Cesaro and Sheamus, the extreme team was feeling somewhat…broken. While the Hardy Boyz wished that they could have deleted the champs and reclaimed the titles, they had to deal with Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson first. Perhaps still too battered after their Great Balls of Fire loss, the Hardyz lost to the Suntan Biker Man and his cohort, while the return of the Revival hit the ring to pick on the bones of their former competition.

Not delightful. Not delightful at all.

Dean Ambrose crashed “The Mizzies”

RAW July 10 (8)

On Sunday, the Miz did what he does best: Walk away with the Intercontinental championship by the skin of his teeth. Deciding that his match was worthy of some awards and not bothering to wait for the upcoming Slammies, the Miz and his Miztourage held the first ever Mizzies: Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel won best supporting actor, Maryse picked up the awards for Most beautiful, gorgeous and the sexiest leading lady and The Miz won a well-deserved award for the Greatest Man in the WWE.

If there was an award for best gate-crasher, it would have gone to Dean Ambrose then as the Lunatic Fringe smashed into the show, clearing the ring with the help of Seth Rollins.

Sasha Banks and Bayley def. Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss and Nia Jax

RAW July 10 (2)

Sasha Banks may not have won the coveted gold on Sunday night, but she was more than ready for a rematch as she teamed up with Bayley to take down RAW women’s champion Alexa Bliss and Nia Jax. Knowing that Jax was the biggest threat in the ring, the two former champs kept the pressure on the titan, eventually redirecting her momentum into a fan barricade and leaving Bliss knocked out by the doctor of Huganomics.

Goldust def. R-Truth

RAW July 10 (9)

Two maniacs, one ring. The Bizarre one has been looking to reboot himself, using R-Truth’s face as a primary platform for his boots. In a solo match, Goldust was full of tricks as he wore down his former tag team partner for the finish.

Roman Reigns and Samoa Joe confronted Brock Lesnar

RAW July 10 (4)

Roman Reigns may have put Braun Strowman in an ambulance on Sunday, but he didn’t exactly win his match against the monster. That’s a point that Brock Lesnar raised when Reigns crashed a showdown between him and Samoa Joe, casting doubt on his claim to be the number one contender for his universal championship.

RAW General Manager Kurt Angle’s solution? A one on one match between Samoa Joe and Reigns next week to find the new number one contender. A match that might prove to be in Joe’s favour, as Reigns has never managed to defeat him in the ring.

Akira Tozawa and Cedric Alexander def. WWE Cruiserweight Champion Neville and Noam Dar

RAW July 10 (1)

Thanks to some more underhanded tactics, Neville managed to retain his cruiserweight title yet again when he faced Akira Tozawa on Sunday. Hungry for revenge, Akira joined Cedric Alexander to take on the champ and Noam Dar. The faces triumphed, as a suicide dive on Dar knocked the fella out long enough for the ref to count to three.

Bray Wyatt def. Seth Rollins

RAW July 10 (10)

Seth Rollins saw his solo match against Bray Wyatt crash and burn on Sunday thanks to an errant thumb that found his eye, leaving the Kingslayer in a foul mood and wanting another showdown. While it looked like Bray Wyatt would get his comeuppance, another attack to Rollins’ eye left the architect down for the count again, as Wyatt beat a hasty retreat so that The Miz and his Miztourage could deliver some payback for earlier in the night.

Rollins wasn’t alone however, as Dean Ambrose came out with a chair and started swinging, finding his mark on the unlucky entourage.
