SmackDown this week was taped at the Tucson Convention Center in the massively warm state of Arizona. Here’s all the action that went down.

First up! Some matches for an upcoming episode of WWE Main Event were taped. Match results as follows:

  • Enzo Amore and Big Cass defeated The Ascension – Enzo scored the pinfall victory after landing the Rocket Launcher finisher.
  • Baron Corbin defeated Sin Cara
  • Becky Lynch defeated Summer Rae
  • Zack Ryder defeated Rusev in a non-title match – Dolph Ziggler was at ringside chatting with Lana and distracting the big brute

And now onto the Smackdown results!

Opening segment

Seth Rollins is in the ring, and he’s there to tell everyone how he wuz robbed of his WWE World Heavyweight championship. Dean Ambrose decides to interrupt, and then so does Chris Jericho. Rollins is pissed off, attacks both Ambrose and Jericho and hey! A match for the night is sorted. Ambrose vs Jericho, later on.

Sami Zayn and Apollo Crews defeated Sheamus and Kevin Owens

Zayn landed the Helluva Kick on Sheamus to get the win for his team on Smackdown. Owens however, had a cunning scheme in mind and proceeded to clobber Zayn in the backstage area of Smackdown afterwards.

Alberto Del Rio defeated Cesaro

A big stomp rom Del Rio on Cesaro earned him a Smackdown win for the night.

The New Day defeated The Vaudevillains

And nothing bad happened to either team afterwards. That’s also a lie, as they were both demolished by the Wyatt Family once the match had ended.

AJ Styles defeated Jimmy Uso

Styles used a devastating Calf Crusher submission to make the Uso tap out on Smackdown.

Natalya cuts a promo

And she’s gone full heel, as she claims that a ten year friendship between her and Becky Lynch means nothing, yo. Becky Lynch interrupts, fists fly and Natalya scampers backstage as Lynch remains standing.

Chris Jericho defeated Dean Ambrose

In a non-title match that had Seth Rollins on commentary, Jericho got a sneaky roll-up win thanks to some ringside distractions. Rollins then proceeded to clobber both men and end the night standing tall in the Smackdown ring.
