WWE Survivor Series took place from the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario. Here’s all the action that went down.

TJ Perkins, Rich Swann and Noam Dar defeated Tony Nese, Drew Gulak and Ariya Daivari

Survivor Series (1)

In a kick-off match for Survivor Series that would set the tone for the Cruiserweight Division and it’s future on RAW, the trio of TJ Perkins, Rich Swann and Noam Dar took the fight to Smackdown. With each superstar from RAW leveraging their strengths to maximum effect, the match ended when Perkins leaped over the referee himself to prevent Gulak and Nese from interfering with Swann’s high-flying and match-finishing 450 Splash on Daivari.

Kane defeated Luke Harper

Survivor Series (2)

With an incredible 18 Survivor Series appearances to date as of last night, Kane took his feud with the Wyatt Family to new heights as he struggled to put Luke Harper down. Harper may have a similar size to that of the big red machine, but his unmatched tenacity and surprising amounts of agility made him an unpredictable and dangerous foe in the ring.

But Kane would not be defeated that night as he locked Harper into a top-rope Superplex, almost breaking the ring with the resulting slam and soon following up with a trademark chokeslam, earning his win.

Team Raw defeated Team SmackDown LIVE in a 5-on-5 Traditional Survivor Series Women’s Elimination Match

Survivor Series (3)

In the first traditional Survivor Series of the match, the women of RAW and Smackdown collided. With a twist of course. With Nikki Bella having been found knocked out before the match could begin, Natalya filled in for her and team blue hit the ring. But it was not going to be Smackdown’s night, as Becky Lynch was left as the last lass standing.

A Bayley to Belly suplex ended Lynch however as the surviving team members of the RAW side, Charlotte and Bayley, celebrated. And then the doctor of Huganomics got a harsh lesson to remind her to never turn her back on Charlotte flair, as the Nature Girl unleashed a fury of attacks on her teammate afterwards. Yeesh, jealousy can be ugly.

Intercontinental Champion The Miz defeated Sami Zayn

Survivor Series (4)

The Miz may have defeated Dolph Ziggler to regain his Intercontinental championship, but he also inherited a challenge that Ziggler had set up for Survivor Series. Facing not only a worthy challenger in the form of Sami Zayn, The Miz also had to contend with the fact if he lost he might never get a rematch when the belt changed shows.

Zayn was on fire last night, coming dangerously close to pinning the Awesome One, but The Miz had a bigger picture in mind. Working the legs of Zayn, The Miz also made good use of the steel steps of the ring to damage his high-flying opponent and weaken his chances of landing a Helluva Kick. The tactic paid off for The Miz, while Maryse ran inteference and rang the ring bell, fooling Zayn long enough to release his Figure-Four lock.

And with that distraction in place, The Miz caught Zayn with a roll-up that secured the future of the Intercontinental championship and kept it on Smackdown.

Sheamus and Cesaro won the 10-on-10 Traditional Survivor Series Tag Team Elimination Match

Survivor Series (5)

The next traditional Survivor Series match of the night was massive. Twenty men, split into teams of ten and all hailing from the tag team division of the WWE locked horns in the ring. And of course, it was pure chaos. With bragging rights and even their jobs on the line. Breezango fell victim to the first elimination, followed shortly by the Fashion Police who walked into the wrong side of a Midnight Hour from Kofi Kingston.

From there, the bodies kept hitting the floor. The Usos eliminated Kingston, the Hype Bros fell to The Club and American Alpha quickly rid themselves of RAW scammers the Shining Stars. With three teams left per side, the action heated up even more, with Jason Jordan being eliminated next by Gallows and Anderson. But a momentary lapse from Gallows saw Rhyno gore him out of the equation.

Celebrating a little too soon, Enzo and Big Cass eliminated Rhyno and Heath Slater next, only for them to walk straight into an assault from the Usos that threw them out of the match in turn. Only two teams were left at that point: The Usos and the impromptu pairing of Sheamus and Cesaro. Near pinfalls aplenty were the name of the game, but a Borgue Kick from Sheamus onto Jimmy Uso left Jey Uso stuck in Cesaro’s Sharpshooter and forced to tap.

The winners, Team RAW once again.

WWE Cruiserweight Champion The Brian Kendrick defeated Kalisto

Survivor Series (6)

Heart, honor and heat. All factors which Kalisto brought to the ring and should have resulted in him walking out of Survivor Series as the new Cruiserweight Champion. But the Wizard of Odd barely escaped with his title in check that night, as Baron Corbin intefered in the match and cost Kalisto a chance at the gold. Incensed at Kalisto injuring him and costing him a Survivor Series match, Corbin struck Kendrick hard and ensured that Kalisto would lose his chance at the belt thanks to a technicality.

An End of Days finisher would ensure that Corbin’s revenge would be complete, but the lone wolf has just begun to feud with the King of Flight.

Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton emerge victorious in the 5-on-5 Traditional Survivor Series Men’s Elimination Match.

After two Survivor Series matches of the traditional sort that saw Smackdown lose in every encounter, a lot was riding on the shoulders of team blue. With the pressure on and the bodies falling in rapid succession, Smackdown would finally emerge victorious in the most important elimination match of the night as Randy Orton proved his loyalty to Bray Wyatt.

Sacrificing himself to the combined might of Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins, Orton caught Rollins in mid-air with an RKO outta nowhere. But when Reigns was the last man standing in the ring, he looked set to break Bray Wyatt in half with a Spear. Taking the Spear for the new face of fear, Orton’s sacrifice gave Bray Wyatt the momentum needed to catch Reigns in a Sister Abigail and secure victory for Team Smackdown.

Goldberg defeated Brock Lesnar

Survivor Series (7)

One more match bub. And this time, Goldberg was holding nothing back. So unrestrained was the fury of Goldberg, that the main event itself was over in only one minute and 24 seconds as The Beast Incarnate’s ruthless winning streak was cut short by a pair of Spears and the final Jackhammer. Goldberg’s assault completely overpowered Lesnar, fueled by the ringside appearance of his family and a WWE Universe that chanted his name over and over again.

And that’s how Survivor Series ended, as a stunned Brock Lesnar realised that when Goldberg tells you that you’re next, you truly are in for a world of hurt.

So Miz won dirty again…he is actually a talented performer that deserves to win clean once in a while.
Brock being man-handled by Oldberg? Really? Was there at least more “energy” and “passion” than the last time this happened?

Watched the highlights, the crowd went nuts for Goldberg. No one expected Brock to lose, nevermind so quickly

Thanks for the link! It is just a bit deflating to me that it was over so quickly – I wanted a proper match out of them. Now Brock looks like a chump and nobody will be able to go up against Oldberg since they couldn’t even handle the chump Brock. Unless they are setting up Taker vs Oldberg?

PS: I would get excited if we could see a proper 1-on-1 without interference or chicanery between Rollins and Styles. THAT would be a PPV Main event worthy of watching!

Rollins and Styles or even Jericho and Styles would be amazing. WWE is so much better without Cena. Wyatt family winning was nice as well. Bray Wyatt is awesome

            Jericho, Styles and Rollins triple-threat!
I don’t mind Cena, actually like him. Did not like the last two years where he would always win though. Glad Styles beat him. He will be back though, Vince likes his muscles too much.

Cena is a clumsy wrestler, he’s strong as an ox though. Fun fact. His one move, the five knuckle shuffle is slang for fapping O_o

Cena is more “performer” than “wrestler” – no argument there! the younger guys (even Reigns) have more “skills” than him inside the ring, but he has charisma. If Reigns had half his charisma…

The move – so, he is a right Tosser that one, hey? 🙂

I hate to come to the defence of Cena, but have you ever watched his matches against Kurt Angle (from 15 years ago) or even his matches with Chris Benoit? The guy used to have great technique.

“The guy used to have great technique” – I agree there. Watched his debut against Angle the other day – it was electrifying to watch him. But yeah these days he does not display that diversity. Perhaps there is a reason he does not show this anymore like you said…perhaps his muscles are too big and his flexibility suffered?

Don’t forget injuries – didn’t he practically destroy his shoulder? I also remember Batista (or Botchista as I used to call him) almost killed him with a Powerbomb (nearly snapped his neck).

Wow, some of those suplexes are just plain evil! The impact some of them have on the neck/head can seriously injure someone. Still, such skill, much wow!

Lesnar has been working hard the last few months, and the guy probably needs a break. Let’s face it, Rusev still has his training wheels on, and Braun Strawman is far from being the new Beast of WWE.

So what do you do in a pinch, you dial 0800 OLDBERG!?
