You can't spell Kung Fu without F and U in this new red band trailer for THE MAN WITH THE IRON FISTS

The Man with the Iron Fists is one of those films which looks to be light on story, and heavy on style, but considering the fact that it’s a glorious homage to classic kung fu flicks mixed in with some intriguing visuals, this might not be a bad thing at all.

We’ve already seen one trailer for the film that will be the directorial debut of Rza, the man with the metallic mitts that headlines this project, amidst all manner of strange combatants. So how about finding out who these people are exactly?

Making his debut as a big-screen director and leading man, RZA—alongside a stellar international cast led by Russell Crowe and Lucy Liu—tells the epic story of warriors, assassins and a lone outsider hero in nineteenth-century China who must unite to destroy the clan traitor who would destroy them all.

Since his arrival in China’s Jungle Village, the town’s blacksmith (RZA) has been forced by radical tribal factions to create elaborate tools of destruction. When the clans’ brewing war boils over, the stranger channels an ancient energy to transform himself into a human weapon. As he fights alongside iconic heroes and against soulless villains, one man must harness this power to become savior of his adopted people.

I’ll be honest here, and admit that I’m only going to go watch this film to see Russell Crowe ham it up as a villain for once. The Man with the Iron Fists also stars Cung Le, Lucy Liu,Jamie Chung, Rick Yune, David Bautista, along with Grace Huang, Pam Grier, and Gordon Liu, and is out in the US on November 2, with no solid release date for our South African shores just yet.

Strange, that was only mildly more violent that the green band trailer – which in hindsight was pretty violent already! At least this gives a better idea of what the plot may be.

Not that it matters – I’ll be watching this anyway.
